The chips are down for Larry Wilcox.
The other cop in the hit TV show "ChiPs" that made Erik Estrada a household name faces two years in prison for securities fraud in Fort Lauderdale later this week, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
Wilcox, 63, allegedly organized a kickbacks scheme that would see him profit from an employee pension fund. The California resident traveled to South Florida to meet with undercover FBI agents participating in a sting.
Wilcox pleaded guilty to federal charges in November.
That's certainly not conduct becoming an officer - albeit a fictional television police officer.
Wilcox played Jon Baker on the prime-time cop drama based on the California Highway Patrol. While Estrada's "Ponch" character gained much of the glory for the show's five-year run of success, Baker left the TV series before its final season in 1982.
He never did much as far as acting afterward. Neither has Estrada for that matter.

Wilcox's attorneys claim their client was backed into a corner because of financial problems and that this is a first offense.
Maybe they should ask the judge, "What would Officer Jon Baker do?"
