Private School Parents Arrested for Hosting Wild Homecoming Party

Private school homecoming party gets way out of hand. Parents arrested

Being the cool parents at a ritzy private high school has come at a cost for one South Florida couple.

Shlomo “Steve” and Jeannie Rasabi were arrested over the weekend for throwing the homecoming party of the decade for their teenage sons and about 500 of their closest Facebook and Myspace friends.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the Rasabis stayed in their room in their Boca Raton estate as the kids went wild with the liquor cabinet.

When police arrived after receiving phone calls about a loud party, they found teens passed out in the front lawn of the $7.5 million estate and dozens of other teens vomiting in the streets. Paramedics had to be called to treat some of the under-aged drinkers.

Cops also found kegs of beer stationed conveniently outside the home.

When cops went looking for the Rasabis, they were locked in the master bedroom of the home. When asked about the under-aged drinking, Steve Rasabi replied, "I didn’t even know all these kids were here. They all brought alcohol into the house.”

Apparently, the loud music and sounds of teens upchucking in unison didn't penetrate the bedroom walls.

The Rasabis also claimed their party was really the after party to another party and that the kids must have got drunk there and not at their home, according to the police report.

Most of the teens at the party attended American Heritage, an elite private school in Broward County. The school's homecoming was Saturday and the party guests were brought to the house by chartered bus.

Wonder who paid for that?

The Rasabis are charged with allowing minors to drink at an open party. Six other teens were arrested that night, ensuring that this will be a homecoming few will ever forget.
