Woman Offers Ring to Kill Ex-Husband

Woman wanted her ex-hubby chopped up with a chainsaw

Dropping a dime on your wife to the feds is cold hearted, so Fred Coral had to know that retribution was coming. He probably didn't know he would be financing it.

The FBI claims his former wife, Mercedes Morales, paid a hitman with a $5,000 diamond ring to kill Coral for turning her into police in 2003 for money laundering, according to the Miami Herald.

Agents arrested 57-year-old Morales on Monday in Miramar and she is charged with plotting to murder her ex.

The ring was likely the wedding ring Coral put on Morales' finger when he vowed to remain loyal or something like that.

"Tell him Mecha is the one that is ordering to do this to you,'' Morales, who is also known as Mecha, told the assassin as the FBI listened in, "for being a traitor.''

In 2003, Morales and Coral were part of a South Florida drug money laundering group that was busted by the feds. The couple and 34 others were indicted on charges, but Morales went to prison for nearly two years after her faithful hubby cooperated with authorities.

Coral, 45, received house arrest for his help.

Morales was released in 2005, but she hadn't got over the whole "husband betrayed me" thing.

So last month, she contacted an assassin, who happened to be an FBI informant, and asked what the price would be to have her former partner in crime chopped into little pieces with a chainsaw.

"We'll use the chain saw on that son of a b----,'' the hitman told Morales.
