Calendar "Girls" Go Green With Nudity
Hopefully the men of Key West won't get any ideas.

Seems people really, really like the earth in the Keys.
Enough to risk seeing a naked calendar girl who just might resemble one's mother.
Ladies belonging to Florida Keys GLEE, which stands for Green Living and Energy Education, disrobed and posed about the islands in their birthday suits to raise funds for a community garden (no, we will not make any jokes about hedges, thankyouverymuch).
The catch: no one under 40 was allowed.
The charmer: it sold out.
The models revealed in "Women Sustaining the Earth" range from age 44 to 78, thank goodness, because we're pretty sure at 79 Earth would choose death over visual evidence of life. Organizer Erika Biddle wanted women no younger than Earth Day, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010. Biddle says she got the idea from the film "Calendar Girls," in which Helen Mirren and Julie Walters go nude for Leukemia research and become a media sensation.
Fortunately for the community garden, it didn't take Mirren to rouse -- or arouse -- support: all 500 copies of the calendar were sold, raising $8,000.
Biddle says a reprint of the calendar may be in order if there's enough interest. So long as the men of the Keys don't get any ideas, there just might be.
