Woman ‘Determined' to Catch Burglars Who Stole From Late Grandmother's House

A woman is determined to catch the man and woman who she says stole valuables from her late grandmother's unoccupied Southwest Miami-Dade home.

Jeanette Pressman's grandmother died three years ago, but her family has not sold the house on 127th Avenue and 51st Street because of deep emotional ties.

The thieves struck Sunday morning and took Pressman's grandmother's clothes, shoes and jewelry.

"You feel very violated," Pressman told NBC 6. She said the burglars also rummaged through drawers, paperwork and checkbooks.

Neighbor Angel Fariñas says he approached the man in the car and found the situation suspicious. He took his phone out and took pictures of the woman and photos and video of the black SUV they fled in.

"When he saw me taking the pictures, he started screaming at the girl to get out of the house," he said.

Pressman's family installed an alarm system in the house and hope to get their grandmother's valuables returned.
