1 Dead in Central Florida Crash Involving Deputy Patrol Car

One person has died a day after a crash in central Florida involving a deputy's patrol vehicle.

Florida Highway Patrol Kim Montes says 28-year-old Corey Allicock of Orlando died early Sunday at a hospital.

Allicock was a passenger in a Volkswagen car that collided early Saturday with a marked Seminole County Sheriff's Office patrol SUV.

The deputy driving the SUV and a passenger who is in ``pre-employment status'' with the sheriff's office were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The Volkswagen's 73-year-old driver was hospitalized in serious condition.

According to an FHP report, troopers are investigating whether one of the vehicles may have run a red light in the Longwood intersection where they crashed.
