Deputies are investigating a Deerfield Beach motorcycle crash that left a Coconut Creek man dead Saturday.

The man, 47-year-old Jeffrey Hirt, died after his motorcycle collided with a 2007 Honda driven by James Morin, 73, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The two collided when Morin, traveling northbound on South Military Trail, made a left into the Sawgrass Promenade and hit Hirt, who was traveling southbound, officials said.

Hirt was taken to Broward Health North where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

BSO traffic homicide detectives continue to investigate the crash.
