One man is dead after a police-involved shooting in Westchester.

One man is dead after a police-involved shooting in Westchester Monday night, according to authorities.

The shooting occurred at 7860 S.W. 34th Terrace, Miami-Dade Police said.

Officials said they arrived at the man's house to arrest him on an aggravated stalking charge when a confrontation ensued at the front door. One detective was forced to shoot and killed the man at the front door of his house, police said.

Police say the man may have had a gun.

The man's identity was not released.
