A man was killed and three others were hurt after a car and a box truck collided in Kendall early Thursday, causing the car to burst into flames.
Florida Highway Patrol says that around 1:30 a.m., a male driver with a female passenger was headed eastbound on Kendall Drive in an orange Dodge Charger.
Then at 117th Avenue, the driver collided with a box truck as it pulled out of a nearby shopping center and the Charger burst into flames before coming to a rest roughly 100 feet away.
According to FHP, speed was likely a factor in the crash.
The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger was pulled from the car unconscious and taken to the hospital. Her condition is not immediately known.
Two individuals in the box truck were also taken to the hospital. They are expected to be okay.
Traffic was closed at Kendall Drive and 117th Avenue as officials responded to the scene. The lanes have since been reopened.
