1 Killed in Crash on I-95 in Hollywood

A woman was killed in a deadly crash early Thursday on I-95 in Hollywood, Florida Highway Patrol confirms.

The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. Thursday on I-95 southbound in the area of Sheridan Street. According to FHP, the woman lost control of her vehicle and hit a concrete wall.

The car bounced back upon impacting the wall and was struck by a passing tractor trailer. The woman was ejected from her car on impact, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has not yet been publicly identified.

Southbound traffic on I-95 south of Sheridan Street was temporarily shut down due to the crash scene. Three lanes of traffic have since reopened, but heavy delays persist.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
