11 Hospitalized in Doral Gas Leak: Miami-Dade Fire Rescue

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a carbon monoxide leak in Doral Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at 5485 northwest 79th avenue in Doral at Shape Lovers, a dietary food catering company.

Eleven people have been hospitalized after being exposed to carbon monoxide, rescue said. They have been transported to local hospitals and are listed as stable.

“Everybody is okay. They’re at the hospital being checked out the rest of the workers are inside healthy," said the store manager.  "There are no issues inside and they’re just trying to finish their job.”

Officials say a lot of times carbon monoxide will cause victims to become disoriented to the point they can’t really function. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas making it even more dangerous.
