An 18-month-old girl drowned in a lake in Pembroke Pines Sunday, authorities said.

An 18-month-old girl has died after drowning in a lake in Pembroke Pines on Sunday, authorities said.
The child was playing with a juvenile family member in her backyard shortly before she was found floating in a lake behind her house by a neighbor, the Pembroke Pines Police Department said.
The girl was rushed to Memorial Hospital West in serious condition but later died, according to a report.
The young girl was found in the lake at 2220 NW 72 Way, police said.
Officials continue investigating the incident.
