Travelers Make Their Way Back To Miami After Twisters

Many Miami travelers were making their way back to South Florida on Wednesday after the Dallas tornadoes. Shane Hayward was flying in from Trinidad, heading to Tucson but got as far as Miami. "I got my flight cancelled out of Dallas-Fort Worth and still trying to get rebooked," he said.

Tornado Rips Through Broward County

An unusually strong Florida tornado ripped through Broward County Tuesday night, leaving behind damaged homes and devastated families in Sunrise and Plantation.

Saturday marks the 15th anniversary of the infamous tornado in downtown Miami.

The F1 tornado was eight miles long with winds between 100 to 120 mph when it struck in 1997.

The system had a path of destruction from 30 to 100 yards wide and made its way from Little Havana to downtown and onto Miami Beach.
