18-Month-Old Shot In Palm Beach County Dies

    Officials said an 18-month-old child was shot in Palm Beach County.

    An 18-month-old toddler who was injured duing a shooting in Palm Beach County died at a hospital Thursday morning, authorities said.

    The boy, Izarion Colin, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

    Family members said the toddler was hit during a drive-by shooting along Quail Lake Drive at Live Oak Plantation Apartments, NBC affiliate WPTV reported.

    The child was first taken to a sister’s house and then to Good Samaritan Medical Center, family members said, WPTV reported. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office first received word of the shooting at 1:24 p.m. Wednesday, when the child arrived at the hospital.

    PBSO said the child was shot in the torso.

    The injured toddler was later taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center to undergo surgery.
