19 Migrants in Custody After Coming Ashore in Palm Beach

The migrants, of Haitian and Bahamian nationality, were found at North County and Wells roads.

A total of 19 undocumented migrants came ashore on Palm Beach Thursday and they are now in custody, according to NBC affiliate WPTV.

Officials found the migrants, who are of Haitian and Bahamian nationality, at North County and Wells roads after receiving a tip from Bahamian authorities about a possible human smuggling operation happening Wednesday night, WPTV reported.

Two of the migrants were hospitalized following their arrival, but they were later released to officials.

Authorities are searching for more migrants in the area.
