Authorities are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man fatally shot outside of a Lauderdale Lakes nightclub.

Joseph Guerbens was shot in the head at around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning and was pronounced dead on scene, the Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue said.

BSO deputies said an argument started inside Labadee Nightclub on the 4200 block of N. State Road 7 and then spilled outside. The shooter fled the scene.

"It's kind of scary, especially having kids, living pretty close to the area," said Alan Kunkel, who recently moved to the neighborhood.

Investigators collected evidence for hours early Monday just feet away from another club where a man was shot after he left.

Marquel McCormes, 29, was killed after partying at FME in the same strip mall. His girlfriend, Appolonia Walker, said he rarely went out.

"He doesn't go out, if he goes out it will be me and him going out having fun. He would basically work and go home," she told NBC 6.

Police are searching for the shooters in both cases.
