Miami Fire Rescue put their skills to use Tuesday evening to save two lives and both may end up thanking the fire fighters with a big lick.

Firefighters arrived at 7820 Northeast Bayshore Court and found heavy smoke inside an apartment. The fire was extinguished and two large dogs were found unresponsive inside the unit.

Fire Rescue workers performed CPR on both dogs with the help of a pet mask that is used to force oxygen into their bodies. Fire Rescue said the dogs began to come around a few minutes later.
