2 Drowning Incidents Reported in Miami Gardens: Police

Police in Miami Gardens responded to two separate potential drownings Tuesday evening.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed a baby was found at the bottom of a pool at a home on 188th Street near North Miami Avenue.

They said the call came in just before 8 p.m. and people at the home were given CPR instructions on the phone while crews responded.

Just 10 minutes earlier, and blocks away, MDFR received a call about another child drowning on Northwest 17th Avenue and 189th Terrace, also in Miami Gardens. That child was transported to the hospital.

Ages and genders of both children have not been released.
