Divers searched for the two men's rented Cessna 172 Friday.

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the two men who died in a plane crash off Stock Island in the Florida Keys this week.

They were Polish tourists Wojciech Korjat, 31, and Sebastian Majewski, 32, said Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Thomas Pikul.

Their bodies were found floating in the water Friday afternoon, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.

Korjat and Majewski were flying a Cessna 172 with the tail number N53589 that was rented from Tamiami Airport. The plane crashed between 8:39 and 9:30 p.m. Thursday, shortly after departing Key West, Pikul said.

Stock Island is just east of Key West, and divers were searching about a mile off Stock Island Friday.
