Two teenage boys were shot in a drive-by shooting near NW 13th Avenue and NW 62nd Street in Liberty City Friday night, police and family members said.

The two victims are in stable condition and their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes said.

The mother one of the victims, Antonio Miller, said that he is 13, and that his friend who was shot is 14.

They were shot while hanging out at the neighborhood complex known as “Pork and Beans.”

Miller was shot in the elbow and grazed in the knee, his family said. At one point Miller was lying on the ground, but there were fears that the gunman might return, so he scrambled up and got into their home, they said.

Both teenagers were taken by Miami Fire-Rescue to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
