Video Shows Moments Before School Bus Crash in Hialeah

Two adults and four kids were hospitalized after a school bus was involved in a crash in Hialeah Thursday.

The crash happened in the area of W. 3rd Avenue and 14th Street, officials said.

Officials said the private school bus collided with a Nissan Maxima and crashed into a concrete fence outside a home. Surveillance footage showed the moments before the collision. Witnesses say the Nissan ran a stop sign which is out of the camera's view. In the video, the school bus headed southbound on W. 3rd Avenue, which had the right of way and no stop sign.

The 3 kids suffered minor injuries, officials said. The bus driver and the driver of the Nissan were both taken to the hospital for anxiety.

The husband of the school bus driver said this was the first accident his wife was involved in. He said she has been a bus driver for about 14 years.

Hialeah Police said the driver of the Nissan sedan was cited for carelss driving.

The owner of the home where the bus crashed into says this was not the first time a car slammed into the concrete fence. The homeowner said he just rebuilt the wall a few month ago after the last crash.
