    Authorities say a 4-year-old girl and her grandfather have drowned in the Apalachicola River in Florida's Panhandle.

    The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office says the family of Eugene Jacobs and his granddaughter Alayha Jacobs contacted authorities Thursday evening when the pair failed to return from a fishing trip.

    A 90-year-old man who apparently drowned was found dead in a pool along with his motorized wheelchair in northern Broward County, authorities said.

    Deputies found Eugene Jacobs' fishing boat tied to his houseboat with fishing lines still in the water.

    A boater found the girl's body soon after. The grandfather's body was found Friday.

    A 3-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after she was pulled from a swimming pool at a home in Miami Saturday, officials said. Miami Fire Rescue spokesman Capt. Raul Fernandez said authorities got a report of a child drowned in a pool at the home in the 3600 block of Southwest 18th Terrace sometime before 5 p.m.

    The sheriff's office says the deaths appear to be accidental and there is no evidence of foul play.
