Spirit Flight Attendants to Picket at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Flight attendants with Spirit Airlines will be holding picket lines at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport for the first half of the week as part of a nationwide protest over their contract with the low-cost carrier. Jason Meyer, with the Association of Flight Attendents, spoke with NBC 6 South Florida about the protest.

A rollover crash at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport early Sunday injured six people, The Miami Herald reported.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said their van rolled over after a hit-and-run accident at about 5 a.m. on the southbound return loop of the airport, the newspaper reported.

The six people were taken to a hospital, but there were only minor injuries from the crash, according to authorities.
