6 People, Including 4 Children, Die in Jupiter Car Wreck

Six people, including four children, have died from a weekend crash on a South Florida interstate, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash involved a minivan and an SUV on Interstate 95 in Jupiter about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky said Heidi Solis-Perez of Stuart, Florida, lost control of her Mercury Villager and hit a median wall. The vehicle then bounced off the wall and into the path of a Kia Sorento, according to Wysocky.

Six passengers including four children in Solis-Perez' minivan died in the crash. They were identified by authorities as: Macareo Julian-Solos, 14; Marillany Julian-Solis, 5; Alexander Julian-Solis, 7; Sandy Julian-Solis, 17; Andres Perez, 18, Reynaldo Diaz, 31.

Heidi Solis-Perez and another passenger, Daisy Julian-Solis, 11, were listed in serious condition.

The driver of the Sorento, Sharwen Pierre Louis, 21, of Ft. Pierce, received minor injuries, the highway patrol said.

Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue Capt. Albert Borroto told the Palm Beach Post that emergency first responders found multiple victims lying in the road.

The highway patrol said it is unclear if the passengers were wearing seatbelts.

Three died at the scene, and three others at hospitals.
