Weather wise, isolated shower chances go down over the course of the day but pick up again throughout the weekend with highs in the low 90s both Saturday and Sunday.

No. 1 - Repairs continue Friday after a damaged main led to water loss for Fort Lauderdale and neighboring cities that temporarily closed businesses, evacuated hotels and impacted hundreds of thousands of residents in Broward County.

Officials said a short-term fix has restored water services but still encourage residents to boil water before consuming through the weekend as bottled water distribution was scheduled to continue starting at 8 a.m.

No. 2 - A police officer was rushed to the hospital after being injured during a hit and run incident early Friday morning in Miramar.

Officials say the male officer was trying to conduct a stop when he was run over by a teenager near the 6200 block of Miramar Parkway and he was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries to both legs.

No. 3 - Groups of protestors continued to rally in Puerto Rico calling for Gov. Ricardo Rosselló to resign after the leak of profanity-laced online chats show him making misogynistic slurs and mocking his constituents.

In Viejo San Juan late Thursday night, the scene was much different than Wednesday's violent protests that ended in arrests. NBC 6 anchor Sheli Muniz is in San Juan – look for her live reports in our newscasts and follow her on social media.

No. 4 - President Donald Trump on Thursday chided his supporters who chanted "send her back" when he questioned the loyalty of a Somali-born congresswoman, joining widespread criticism of the campaign crowd's cry after Republicans warned about political blowback from the angry scene.

Trump also claimed he had tried to stop the chant at a reelection event Wednesday night in North Carolina — though the crowd's "send her back" shouts resounded for 13 seconds as Trump made no attempt to interrupt them.

No. 5 - Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton was released from the hospital Thursday weeks after his arm was amputated following a car crash.

Norton briefly thanked the doctors and staff at Jackson Memorial Hospital and his Miami Dolphins family for helping him recover after the early morning July 4 crash on State Road 836 near Miami.
