No. 1 - If you have outdoor plans in South Florida to start the weekend, you might want to change them – or at least grab an umbrella as the latest front moves through the area, bringing cooler weather with it.
The front is forecasted to come through the area as early as overnight Friday into Saturday morning, bringing with it a 40 percent chance of showers and an isolated thunderstorm with high temps in the lower 80s.
No. 2 - Three people have been detained after a body was discovered in the trunk of a vehicle in the parking lot of a Walmart in Homestead, authorities said.
According to Miami-Dade Police, a man called 911 saying he was following a white Honda that matched the description of a car belonging to his brother who had been reported missing in Monroe County two days earlier.
No. 3 - The family of a Miami woman whose body was found when she didn’t return from a vacation in Costa Rica now says they believe more people were involved in her death.

On a Facebook page that was created during the search for 36-year-old Carla Stefaniak when she failed to return from a trip for her birthday, family members say sources close to the investigation have told them forensic results have investigators believing more people were involved.
No. 4 – The former lawyer for President Trump, Michael Cohen, says he was directed to make hush money payments by Trump to two women during the 2016 campaign despite knowing it was wrong.
In an interview with ABC, Cohen said the President told him he was “very concerned” about how the alleged affairs would affect the election.
No. 5 – A young child has died after being arrested by Border Patrol agents after she crossed the border from Mexico with her father.
The Washington Post reports the 7-year-old girl died of dehydration and shock more than eight hours after she was taken into custody.
No. 6 - Carnival Cruise Line has announced plans to launch the first cruise ship with a roller coaster on board.
Carnival announced Thursday that BOLT will circle the top of a new ship, Mardi Gras, when it sets sail in 2020. The all-electric coaster will allow two riders at a time to race along nearly 800 feet of track, 187 feet above sea level.
