Weather wise, a drier morning across South Florida will turn into a soggy afternoon with shower and storms chances increasing throughout the day and into the Father’s Day weekend.
No. 1 – A family in Florida City is searching for answers after their home surveillance camera caught a postal carrier throwing packages over a gate in front of their house.
The homeowner told NBC 6 that at least one of the items inside the package was damaged. The United States Postal Service says it is investigating the incident and will take appropriate action.
No. 2 - A man was hospitalized after a lightning strike in Pembroke Pines Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded to the scene in the 8600 block of Pembroke Road, Pembroke Pines Police said. Police said the man, a landscaper in his mid to late 40s or early 50s, was holding a shovel at the time of the strike. The man was taken to a nearby hospital.

No.3 - The judge overseeing several lawsuits in connection with the deadly FIU bridge collapse isn't satisfied with the answers she's getting from the engineering firm involved in the project.
One of the employees involved in the accident, FIGG vice president C. Denney Pate. says his wife accidentally washed his cellphone three months *after the deadly collapse – a phone which could have key evidence during the investigation into the March 2018 collapse.
No. 4 - Two oil tankers near the strategic Strait of Hormuz were reportedly attacked on Thursday, an assault that left one ablaze and adrift as sailors were evacuated from both vessels and the U.S. Navy rushed to assist amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran.
In Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that while Tehran doesn't seek nuclear weapons, "America could not do anything" to stop Iran if it did.
No. 5 - An alleged gunman and five accomplices have been detained in the shooting of former Red Sox superstar David Ortiz, Dominican officials said Wednesday, while providing no information about why a group of young men would try to kill their country's most beloved sports hero.
Four other suspects were also being pursued in the shooting, which witnesses said was carried out by two men on a motorcycle, assisted by two other groups of people in cars.
