Nine students were hospitalized with minor injuries following a school bus crash in central Florida Monday, authorities said.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that the bus was heading to Bridgewater Middle School Monday morning when the driver, 55-year-old Linda Rickerson, tried to make a left turn at an Orlando intersection. FHP reported that a PT Cruiser crashed into the side of the bus. The PT Cruiser's driver was also injured.

Troopers cited the bus driver with violating the right of way.

Uninjured students were released from the scene, and another bus took them to school.
