Amazon Prime Opening Hub Warehouse in Wynwood With Hispanic Specialties Available

South Floridians who use Amazon Prime will now be able to get their goods even quicker as a new hub with a focus on Hispanic specialties is opening its doors.

Wednesday marks the grand opening of the new facility off Northeast 23rd Street in Wynwood. Thousands of products will be available through the service, which provides free shipping to customers that sign up for it.

"We're excited to offer faster delivery to more of our customers in Miami and to be able to expand their offering of this new larger building," said Felipe Millon, from Amazon Prime Now.

The over 50,000 square foot facility will also be home to products from El Latino – a Miami based food brand that specializes in providing familiar foods to those in America from other counties including Cuba, Colombia, Argentina and more.

"This is going to be a major event for our company, and especially for the consumer," said Maria Elena Ibanez, the owner of El Latino.

Items such as arepas, cheeses, frozen foods and fruit will be available for those who may not be able to get those items fresh in this country as part of the partnership.

All items in the building, including chilled items, can be delivered to your door in under two hours if you're a Prime member - which will cost you $99 a year. To see if the delivery service is available to you, enter your zip code on the website.

The warehouse will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday. The opening comes just weeks after Amazon announced it was buying Whole Foods in a deal costing over $13.7 billion.
