Amber Alert Canceled After Florida Children Found Safe in Alabama Hotel

Police in Alabama say they found four children from Florida who were taken by their mother, causing an Amber Alert to be issued earlier this week.

Officers in Eufaula, Alabama, say that in the early hours of Friday morning, two guest at a hotel in the city called police after seeing the Amber Alert and recognizing the kids who were playing in the lobby. Police confirmed a car in the parking lot was the same as the one in the issued alert and made contact with their mother, Jamia Gadeaun.

Gadeaun was arrested without incident and the children, who range in age from six to 12 years old, were taken into protective custody. Officials say all appear to be on good health.

The children were reported missing from the Bradenton home of their grandmother, who has custody of them, on Wednesday.
