Love can burn hot, but a scorned lover can burn even hotter.

A South Florida woman is in jail for setting her boyfriend's car on fire because she found out he was cheating on her, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

Tochara Stephens, 25, was charged with second-degree arson for the vengeful act, which also caused damage to two other cars parked near the fully engulfed 1998 purple Oldsmobile.

It could have been worse. Just ask a few other South Florida men who have had their pants lit on fire by angry girlfriends while they were still in them.

Early Wednesday morning, Stephens drove to the Delray Beach Maroone car dealership where her boyfriend, Lefrance Defranc, worked as a mechanic.

She dumped a couple of cans of gasoline on her beau's car and struck a match.

Voila! Revenge served very hot.

When firefighters arrived to put out the fire, Stephens was parked across the street, probably admiring her handy work.

Police said she had a baseball bat and two gasoline cans in her car.

Defranc admitted to police he was cheating on Stephens with his baby mama.
