Swimwear line Aqua Di Lara offers both feminine, soft styles and graphic, edgy designs.
The collection's White and Black Labels give buyers the opportunity to wear both styles.
“The White will be very amazon garden, very colorful placement a lot of fun looking bodies,” said designer Reyhan Sofraci, who will be showing looks at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. “The Black will have a lot of 90s bright colors-- very 90s.”
Using the two labels has helped Aqua Di Lara stand out from the rest of the designers who only offer one collection and one style, Sofraci said.
“They have the same quality of construction and fabric designs,” she said, referring to both collections. “We just have more options.”
This year they are expected to include a larger variety of prints and colors from what they have done in the past five years of attending the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
“I have evolved,” Sofraci said. “We incorporates designs that are very unique—the basics and the solids— very strong accessories and a lot more items that can be worn with the bathing suits.”
Sofraci’s inspiration for this year’s collection has come from her travels, colors, exclusive prints and everything in her surroundings.
“We took the colors and made it all come together, created something different,” Sofraci said.
Aqua Di Lara has been part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim for the past five years but hopes to expand her brand and her styles.
She is looking to incorporate more ready-to-wear pieces in her line, prints and more colors to add to her more traditional solids, she said.
Aqua Di Lara will present its collection July 20 at the Raleigh Hotel.
