MDPD Investigate Armed Carjacking Outside Miami's Big Cheese Restaurant

Miami-Dade Police are investigating an armed robbery and carjacking that happened at the Big Cheese restaurant on New Year's Day in Miami.

According to police, the victim was in the rear parking lot of the restaurant on January 1st, located at 8080 SW 67th Ave. in Miami when he was ambushed by the suspect.

Witnesses confirm that the suspect pistol whipped the victim, then stole the victim's car and drove off. The victim suffered bruises and cuts to the face from the pistol whipping.

Surveillance video shows that the suspect is a white male, and appears to be between 20 and 30 years old and standing about 5'9" or 5'10".

The stolen car is a white 2002 4-door Honda Civic.
