Police have made an arrest in the murder of a 16-year-old boy who was fatally shot while walking home in Miami Gardens last month.
D'Vonte Jaquan Stewart, 18, is facing first-degree murder charges in the death of Harry Vaughn.
Vaughn was walking home on Feb. 25 when he was approached by a man dressed in black who opened fire on him with a semi-automatic weapon in the area of Northwest 36th Ave. near 176th Terrace.
Police say Vaughn was able to run to his house on the 3500 block of Northwest 177th Terrace despite a gunshot to his back, but collapsed and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Stewart is being held in the Miami-Dade jail.
