Woman Killed in Crash on I-195 WB

A Miami woman was killed in an early morning crash Wednesday on I-195 in Miami.

It happened around 5:10 a.m. on I-195 westbound just before Exit 2B US-1/Biscayne Boulevard.

According to Florida Highway Patrol officials, two vehicles, a Honda Civic and a Porsche Panamera, were involved in a crash. The occupants of those vehicles had gotten out of their cars when a third vehicle, a Hyundai SUV, struck two of them.

Tatiana Sanchez, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jose Enrique Gomez, 35, of Miami was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Porsche had minor injuries from the first crash and was also taken to Mount Sinai.

The driver of the Hyundai was not hurt. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, FHP officials said.

All lanes of traffic were closed as police responded to the crash scene. The lanes opened back up around 10 a.m.
