Authorities are searching for a “striped shirt robber” they believe robbed two North Lauderdale stores at gunpoint, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect robbed neighboring businesses One Love and Music and Big Daddy’s Liquors within two days. During both crimes, the man held the employees at gunpoint, according to the BSO.

The music store, located at 5460 North State Road 7, was robbed on July 6 just after 5:30 p.m. Surveillance video shows the man holding two employees at gunpoint. He made off with property and fled the scene.

A suspect matching the same description robbed the liquor store at 8:30 p.m. on July 8 and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities said the suspect wore a green striped shirt, khaki pants and a baseball cap. He is described as a 5-foot-10-inch white male, possibly Hispanic, weighing 200 pounds.

BSO officials ask anyone with information to contact them at 954-321-4270. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for a tip leading to an arrest.
