Authorities on Saturday were searching for a man who raped a woman in Miami Beach.
At 3 a.m. a woman was walking along the 200 block of 77 Street, between Collins and Harding Avenues when she was approached from behind, thrown to the ground and raped, authoriites said.
"We heard a woman screaming loudly," said Veronica Visney. The piercing scream came through the window of her hotel room on Harding Avenue. She and her husband were celebrating their anniversary in Miami Beach. They were woken up by the scream, and she initially thought it was just someone joking around.
"Young people drinking you, know having fun playing around, " she said.
"Immediately, I thought, I have two daughters," said Visney after learning what happened. "You have to be aware of your surroundings, where you are. I feel so sad."
