Fourteen-year-old Devon Rodriguez was found safe and was with Plantation Police Friday morning.
Rodriguez had been missing after being last seen at 7 a.m. on Thursday at his home at 4431 SW 23rd Street in unincorporated central Broward near Fort Lauderdale, authorities said.
He was found walking in Plantation by officers.
He attends the Seminole Middle School in Plantation. Authorities never arrived at school Thursday.
Bruce Cleveland, Rodriguez's grandfather and legal guardian, said the teen is a good child. They had just returned from a hockey tournament in Chicago.
"I hope he's safe," Cleveland said. "We want him to come home."
