BSO Arrests Man for Deadly Shooting in Lauderdale Lakes

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday it has arrested Herman Farrell, 31, for allegedly shooting and killing 34-year-old Sean Fleming on Saturday.

According to BSO, Farrell and Fleming were arguing in the parking lot of the Town Square apartments at 4848 NW 24th Court just after 10 p.m. Deputies said the argument stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the two men, who had known each other for many years.

Deputies said Farrell shot Fleming multiple times before fleeing. Fleming died at the scene.

Detectives said Farrell cut his hair, bought a different cell phone, and moved from place to place since the Saturday shooting in an attempt to avoid capture. BSO said Farrell faces a charge of first-degree murder.

Deputies are asking anyone with more information on the case to call the Broward Sheriff's Office at (954) 764-4357, or Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477).
