The Dixie Super Store in Pompano Beach had been robbed four times since July 17th, prompting Broward County Sheriff deputies to stake it out in the hopes of catching the culprits.

On Saturday, they ended up shooting a culprit.

According to the BSO, deputies were conducting surveillance on the store when they observed an armed man walk inside with a shirt over his face.

Deputies confronted the man as he walked out, ordering him to drop the gun. The man refused, so deputies shot him – grazing a customer in the process.

The suspect, who turned out to be Antonio Brady, 20, fled on foot but collapsed about a block away. He was transported to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The customer who was grazed by the bullet was also transported with non-life threatening injuries.
