BSO Looking for Brawny Booze Thief Targeting Wholesale Stores

Authorities are looking for a brawny booze thief who has been stealing liquor from Broward County wholesale stores.

The man, who is described as having a muscular build, has stolen more than 30 bottles of liquor multiple times in the past month, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

On Aug. 4, the man took six bottles of liquor from the BJ's Wholesale Club at 5901 W. Hillsboro Boulevard in Parkland, passing the checkout without pausing. On Aug. 8, he returned to the same store and six more bottles of liquor.

A little over a week later, on Aug. 17, the same man walked into the Costco Wholesale at 1800 W. Sample Road and took a 12-pack of Patron tequila. On Aug. 23, he returned to the Costco and took four bottles of Grey Goose vodka, BSO officials said.

The man is also believed to have committed similar crimes in Boca Raton and Davie.

Authorities said the man appears to be in his mid 20s, about 5-foot-8 and 200 pounds. He has been seen leaving the stores in a gold Honda Accord and a gray Toyota Camry.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
