BSO Releases New Photos of Tamarac iPad Thief

Authorities have released more photos of a man who was caught on camera stealing a toddler's iPad right out of his hands inside a Tamarac salon.

The crime happened July 24 at Grace Salon at 5449 N. State Road 7.

Broward Sheriff's Office officials said the 4-year-old boy was watching the iPad inside the salon when the thief ripped it out of his hands and fled the store.

After the story was reported last week, 1976 Boxing Olympic Gold Medalist Howard Davis, Jr. donated a new iPad to the toddler.

Witnesses said the teen suspect was about 5-foot-6 with a thin build. His hair was shaved on the side with twists on top and he was wearing a purple shirt with "INVS" written on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
