Back to School: Free Supplies for Teachers; Child Immunizations

The Broward Education Foundation is making a difference by offering teachers free school supplies.

Shataedra Ferguson teaches 7th-grade civics at Pompano Beach Middle School. She hopes the school supplies will help students who may show up empty-handed.

Some of the most important supplies? Pencils, pencil sharpeners, staplers and tape.

Teachers can shop twice a year with tickets instead of dollars thanks to the Broward Education Foundation's school supply store. Thanks to donations, each teacher can take up to $1,000 worth of supplies back to classrooms.
