SWAT members were on the scene of a barricade situation in Miramar Thursday and it caused a traffic mess due to closures.
Roads were closed near Pembroke Road and West Island Drive.
Miramar Police investigators said a person barricaded themselves inside a home and refused to come out. No one else was inside.
The barricaded subject was taken into custody around 6:15 p.m. after surrendering to police.
Police said the incident started as a domestic dispute with family members.
The area has since reopened to traffic.
