Behind-the-Scenes Look at Sun Life Stadium Upgrades

The Miami Dolphins want football fans to know they can now watch the games in style. The first game at the new and improved Sun Life Stadium is set for Saturday.

From the inside to the outside, the president and CEO of the Dolphins and Sun Life Stadium took NBC 6 on a tour on Thursday.

There's a lot of new to see, in the exclusive areas, like the new Ford Field Club for those who spend thousands on their season sideline seats.

There are new eating areas for everyone, and there are new Aqua seats. There's a total count of 65,000 seats, which is 10,000 fewer than before.

The developer said that's to make things more intimate, but inside on game days, the sound will be intense.

"The way the field boards and roof are constructed, it's all designed to enhance and keep crowd noise in," explained the Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel.

The game boards are carrying over from last year. They will be replaced next season. Orange columns are the beginning of a canopy that will cover the whole stadium, except the field. The construction for that is already underway.

With the first preseason game set for this weekend, the renovations and additions continue promising fans a new experience while supporting the Miami Dolphins.
