A boat went up in flames near the Pelican Harbor Marina in Miami Wednesday, officials said.
The 30-foot catamaran caught fire just north of the marina around 1:30 p.m. A plume of black smoke from the boat could be seen from miles away.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and City of Miami fireboats responded and quickly extinguished the flames.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
