Body Found Inside Fort Lauderdale SUV With Days Worth of Tickets on Windshield

A disturbing discovery was made several weeks ago in Fort Lauderdale – a dead body inside of a vehicle that had received several days’ worth of tickets.

The body of 62 year old Jacob Morpeau from Miami was found inside the vehicle on November 15th. According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Morpeau died of natural causes and had been sick with a cardiovascular disease.

It’s unknown how long he was inside the car after passing away and the medical examiner could not say when the exact time or date of death had been.

The SUV, parked along Southeast 6th Street west of Federal Highway, had received five tickets over a four day period from November 12th through the 15th. Two tickets were written within minutes of each other just before Morpeau’s body was discovered.

The family of Morpeau – a Haitian immigrant who once owned a car sales lot in Miami – said they hadn’t spoken with him since November 11th.

The city of Fort Lauderdale reportedly has waived the $160 in fines due to “extraordinary circumstances”.
