Woman's Body Found at Miami Recycling Plant: Authorities

The Southeastern Recycling plant is located at 3401 NW 110th Street.

A woman's body has been found at a Miami recycling plant, authorities said Tuesday.

It wasn't immediately clear how long the body had been at the Southeastern Recycling plant, which is located at 3401 NW 110th Street.

Sources told NBC 6 that the partially-clothed body was found by plant workers on a conveyer belt in a black, plastic bag.

Police said there is no indication the woman was an employee of the facility.

"During the early morning hours, we received a phone call from this place that there was a body found at their facility," said Maj. Garry Jeanniton with the Miami-Dade Police. "All we know so far, it was a white female. We don't know anything else. We don't have the identity of the person."

Police couldn't say if the body had signs of trauma. It was being taken to the Medical Examiner's Office.

The plant was purchased by Waste Management Inc. of Florida last year.  A spokeswoman for the company referred all calls to police.

No other information was immediately available.
