Miami-Dade Police classified the incident as a murder-suicide

Police said they continue to investigate the case, which they said Wednesday was an apparent murder-suicide.

Police said Wednesday that the two bodies who were found inside a house in southwest Miami-Dade died in an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday afternoon.

The body of 28-year-old Patricia Nieto and 25-year-old Fernando I. Martinez II were discovered at 13433 SW 289th Terrace, Miami-Dade Police said.

Police said the pair was dating and both died as a result of stab wounds.

The father of one of the victims was checking on his son at the home when he found them both dead, police said.

The incident continues under investigation.
