Boil Water Advisory Issued for Village of Bal Harbour

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the village of Bal Harbour.

Officials say the order has been issued due to a temporary loss of water service, after they had to make emergency repairs to a 30-inch water main.

Water service has since been restored. But all water used for drinking or cooking purposes should be boiled prior to consumption.

Officials say the water should be brought to a full rolling boil for at least one minute. Officials went on to say there is no problem with using the water for bathing or other household needs.

City officials will be sampling the water and will lift the restrictions when the tests come back clear.
